BIO
Allison Louis is a vibrant 17-year-old who is passionate about music and falls asleep dreaming of chord progressions. She is a prolific composer who loves to infuse emotion into her music. She especially enjoys composing music and lyrics on-the-fly after finding just that 'right' key signature or chord.
Based in Vancouver, she has benefited greatly from working with a group of talented and giving professionals.
Although classically trained on the piano since age 4, Allison has loved composing music in varied styles including pop, classical and jazz. She has also explored several instruments including the cajón, guitar, violin and upright bass.
She has performed across the Lower Mainland and was fortunate enough to perform in New York at the 31st and 32nd Annual Broadway Stars for Leukemia and Lymphoma Fundraiser in 2018 and 2019.

In November 2019, at age 11, Allison played a half-hour of her original music at 'The Bitter End', the legendary music club where many artists have graced its stage since 1961, including Bob Dylan, Lady Gaga and Billy Joel.

Allison was thrilled to be selected by American Protégé, the prestigious international competition, to perform twice at the Summer Gala Concert at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. She won as part of a jazz duet (upright bass) and separately as a vocalist.

She is also the recipient of the 2024 Fraser Macpherson Jazz Fund Scholarship and the pianist for the honours ensemble of the 2025 National Youth Jazz Combo at MusicFest. Allison was also grateful to receive the "Aspire" Full-Tuition Scholarship from the Berklee College of Music in Boston for 2025.

Allison is a member of the Songwriters Association of Canada and SOCAN.
